Allust Serif Typeface is an italic font that is inspired by italic version some old-style serif typefaces like Caslon and Garamond, and an evolution of my poor understanding of italic letter-form. The first draw of this font is started back in 2016 and the idea was to make an upright italic font inspired by italic calligraphy. Perfectionism kept me away from finishing this font.
Each year, I tried to rebuild the font with better understanding of the letter-form but still keeping some unique characteristics of my poor understanding back then, but never satisfied. And finally, this year I promised myself to just finish the goddamn font and embrace whatever it is going to looks like. And here it is.
